  On August 1, CICPPromotion Seminar& Israel-Jiangsu InnovationHub Launchingwere successfully held.

  The event provided an overview of the “CIP Initiative” and its supporting policies and service systems to the participating enterprises. Companies that have settled in CICPwere invited to share their experiences in the Chinese market. Four companies, including Sonovia, TechnoPulm, AGAVI, and Coreflow, signed agreements with the Jiangsu Center to collaborate on subsequent project applications and market expansion in China.

  On August 10, CICP held a semi-annualwork seminar.

  The meeting focused on studying and implementing the guiding principlesof the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. It reviewed the achievements of the first half of 2024, assessed the current landscape, identified issues, and outlined key tasks for the next phase. The seminar urged all personnel to remain committed to excellence and innovation, driving further advancements in CICP's high-quality development.

  On August 13, Gu Sai, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (China) at the University of Warwick, visited CICP.

  Mr. GU praised CICP for its rich innovation resources and robust talent policies. He emphasizedthat theOutstanding Young ScholarsSocietybrings together topyoung talents from various fields, giving it a significant advantage in building innovative and cohesive teams. Looking forward, he encouraged the scholars from the Outstanding Young ScholarsSociety to enhance their collaboration with CICP, fostermutual growth, accelerateproject implementation,and usher in a new chapterin their cooperation.

  On August 15, CICP conducted a fireandevacuation emergency drill for 2024.

  Over 80 participants, including all CICP staff membersand representatives from various companies, took part in the event. The drill also included a special training session on the use of fire extinguishers.

  On August 28, the Yangtze River Delta General Intelligent Decision Technology Laboratory officially launched with a signing ceremony.

  The laboratory, co-founded by Professor Wang Jun’s team and the Administrative Committee of CICP, is dedicated to advancing research and development in artificial intelligence, product application, and industry cultivation.

  On August 30, the closing ceremony of the 2024 China-Israel Youth S&T Innovation Camp was successfully held in CICP.

  This camp, jointly organized by the University of International Business and Economics, Changzhou University, and CICP, officially began on August 6 and included 14 international students. Over the four-week program, participants focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, gaining in-depth insights into Changzhou and its industrial landscape. The exchange of innovativeideas between China and abroad culminated in impressive entrepreneurial project presentations.

  On August 30, the “Encountering Intangible Cultural Heritage” Cultural Salon for International Friends was successfully held.

  Over 30 international young people participated in the event, sharing their experiences and insights gained in Changzhou, as well as their thoughts on innovation and entrepreneurship. During the event, the participants also had the opportunity to experience Changzhou’s unique intangible cultural heritage craft, Liuqing bamboo carving.

  In August, the fifth season of INNOVATION TALK series kicked off, with a focus on cultivating an innovation ecosystem.

  The first session centered on business attraction efforts within CICP. Various groups conducted research on the small commercial complex of the China-Israel International Innovation VillagePhase II, tailoring detailed investment promotion plans based on CICP’s strategicpositioning, location, and development needs. The second session focused on building a technological innovation system and the practice of commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.Participants analyzed the critical role of technology managers in driving innovation and explored effective strategies for implementing industrial projects, contributing to CICP's future growth.
